Party at the Castle!

Get ready for a serious celebration at Sudeley Castle this summer, with Alfie Boe, Will Young, All Saints and Sara Cox’s full on 80s party show.

Get ready to party at the castle this summer, with a series of evening concerts with a real festival vibe in the oh-so stunning grounds of Sudeley Castle. A series of incredible acts includes musical uber-legend Alfie Boe, family favourite Will Young and blast-back-to-Uni-years (am I allowed to say that?) All Saints, playing against the backdrop of one of the most romantic and beautiful castles in England, surrounded by a 1,200-acre estate (and the only private castle in England to have a queen buried within its grounds – Katherine Parr, that lucky lady who survived the clutches of Henry VIII, lies entombed in a beautifully restored 15th-century church).

Back to the fun stuff – get ready, get set, and get your tix now for The Party at the Castle , Thurs 6 – Sat 8 June. The event is being put on by promoters ‘Turned Up To 11’  – those of Chalfest ‘Party on the Hill’ fame, which is already sold out. Seriously! So you’d better hotfoot it to Sudeley this summer, where the magic and success of Chalfest will be recreated with turrets, sorry bells, on. Check out food trucks, bars, festival shenanigans and so much more. Ready for the line up, Mudsters? Off we go…

Alfie Boe, Thurs 6 June

Alfie Boe may have performed in some of the world’s great classical venues, but he also has the rare ability to bring together all sorts of music lovers. Not many artists can lay claim to having appeared in Les Miserables, La Boheme and an orchestral version of the classic rock album Quadrophenia, no less. Since he exploded onto the music scene nearly 20 years ago, Alfie has racked up one extraordinary achievement after another, with two UK Number 1 albums, while ‘Together’ and ‘Together Again’, his collaborations with great mate Michael Ball, have together sold more than one million copies. Check him out for yourself, with tix at £37.

Will Young with special guests All Saints, Fri 7 June

Ground breaking and often outspoken, the former winner of Pop Idol is all grown up, and delivers his greatest hits and a wealth of new material with vigour and some serious stage presence. Special guests All Saints are his very special guests, working again with top producer William Orbit, the force behind their massive hits ‘Pure Shores’ and ‘Black Coffee’, and bringing their blended, rhythmic harmonies to sophisticated pop classics. Tickets £37.

Summer Shindig, Sat 8 June

Ah, now this is the biggie. Gates open earlier for this one as The Party at the Castle Summer Shindig announces its first acts: Toploader, Dick and Dom, and our fave, Sara Cox and Just Can’t Get Enough 80s. From Bowie to Belinda, Wham to Whitney, Kylie to Kate Bush, Erasure to Elton and Tiffany to T’Pau, leave your baggage in the cloakroom and get ready to worship at the altar of mind-blowing 80s awesome party bangers…the greatest pop night the world has ever seen!

Expect a real party atmosphere, with a great community vibe and loads of fun and surprises for all the family – the main stage line up will have something for everyone, while the second stage in the main bar offers more varied acts, with an emphasis on emerging and local talent, so anything goes. Plus, there will be loads of free stuff for kids including circus skills workshops, arts and crafts and traditional fairground rides. Tickets £28.

Fancy getting there early and having a snoop around the castle? Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, and perfect for kids, Sudeley not only has buried queens on its premises but also a collection of rare and endangered species of birds from around the world, plus a wooden fun fort, zip wire and adventure playground, as well as an assault course.
