Fab-tastic Whatley Manor has had a makeover, and we at Muddy were lucky enough to be one of the very first bods allowed a snoop around. As part of their new funky look, this gorgeous country house hotel has gone and put itself firmly at the top of the pop-up foodie night pile, throwing lavish Chef’s Table-style banquets for a select few in their Green Room. Make sure you’re one of the in-crowd and book your spot now.

Each night a guest chef will host the table, where they will chop, fry and cook up culinary magic right in front of you, and a maximum of 12 guests means that these pop-ups remain seriously exclusive. Next up for their Foodie Experiences…..wait for it…indulge your Dad with a special Fathers Day Sunday Lunch on Sunday 17 June, with three courses, coffee and Jazz from the Solent City Jazz Men.

Now, steel yourself…on Sun 1st July, renowned chef Sat Bains, of two Michelin-starred Restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham, will join chef Niall Keating in the The Dining Room to create a spectacular eight-course dinner in aid of Hospitality Action’s Social Sunday.  Started by Jason Atherton three years ago, ‘Social Sunday’ was created to unite the UK’s restaurant community and help transform the lives of hospitality workers who find themselves in crisis. This year, the concept is being taken nationwide, asking chefs and restaurateurs to join together on one day and support their industry. It’s an 8 course menu with wine pariring for £300 per person but I bet you a second mortgage, it’ll be worth it!

Book in for Fruits de Mer on 22 June – seafood lovers will adore this classic French offering that just shouts summer, accompany with Champagne or a wonderful rose to add to the feeling of being in the South of France. And book ahead now for a Danish lunch on 7 July.

Now, here’s a biggie #intheknow tap-the-side-of-your-nose bit of goss…rumour has it that a few seriously cool Michelin-starred chefs will be rocking up soon to do the business and cook for you – and you can be sure they will get booked up faster than Stormzy at Finsbury Park. We are super-stoked (does anyone still say that?) to be the first to let you know about them, so get in there now and book for Brad Carter of The Carters of Moseley on 4 June. Places are limited, so don’t dawdle peeps!
