Muddy says: Step away from the high street! This fashion haven in Cheltenham has everything you need.
At Muddy we love an indie fashion shop and we’re positively enamoured with Bodega Womenswear in Cheltenham’s bohemian Suffolks neighbourhood. Owner Sarah-Jane opened her boutique in 2010 and the airy, stylish interiors are like a big welcoming fashion hug.
She stocks tons of fab labels that you won’t find anywhere on the high street, including Dutch brand YAYA that has chic daywear totally nailed, Diva whose bodycon dresses give Roland Mouret a run for his money and Nadine Merabi’s va-va-voom, red carpet-worthy evening dresses. There’s also own-label Bodega which is a sassy collection of wraparound maxi and mini dresses (I’ve got my eye on a sunshine yellow boho number), cool Ts and a groovy selection of fedoras.
Stylists and makeup artists drop in regularly – every other Friday is Style Pod where you can get expert advice on what suits you from someone who knows what they’re talking about (need some of that).
And the prices are, shhh, really reasonable!! Honestly, for the quality and je ne sais quoi style you get, you’d have thought you’d be paying top dollar. But, hey, no one needs to know that when you’re sashaying around in your new purchases!
