Working out of a picturesque, 18th century walled garden, Pythouse Kitchen Garden is a high-quality restaurant, a bar, shop, events venue, and a glamping site — all in one. You might visit just to admire the stunningly-maintained, vibrant garden. Here, you can pick your own bunch of beautiful flowers (from May-November) or simply goggle at the sheer quantity of fresh vegetables and fruits that grow. But, once you’ve come for the garden, you might as well visit the farm shop…and then why not stay for supper in the award-winning restaurant?

The food served is fresh, seasonal, and inventively done: think mustard and tarragon venison with rhubarb chutney, or charred cauliflower with black garlic lentils. This summer, there will also be a country fire kitchen residency from 21 May – 26 Sep, serving food cooked over fire in a pop-up venue amongst the fruit trees.

Tucked away at the bottom of the garden is the glamping village, perfect for families, couples, and large groups. The site is romantically lit at night and furnished to a very high standard: six cosy bell tents with comfy beds and fresh linen, a large covered dining area, a well equipped kitchenette, smart WC’s, and piping hot showers.
