The Oxford Yurt – have fun and get naturally glamorous with a group of your favourite people, in a joyful and eco-friendly glamping paradise where your every holiday need is catered for.

Located in a stunning three-acre Oxfordshire meadow with fresh panoramic views strewn with sweet-scented wild flowers, The Oxford Yurt is in the perfect setting – three independent, stylish and eco-friendly accommodation venues that promise alternative hen parties, group celebrations and escapes full of the type of warmth, freedom, fun and attention to detail that make for the most enduring memories.

With cosy accommodation, inventive locally-sourced vegetarian catering and imaginative entertainment all taken care of by the friendly owner, Sarah, and her team, all you’ll need to do when you arrive with your loved ones is claim your futon, crack open a bottle of bubbles and settle down for a good catch-up.  Relax and unwind as you watch a meltingly golden sunset and the first stars appearing in the evening sky!

Exceptional care is taken not only with your stay, but also the local environment, to provide the most naturally beautiful backdrop for your celebrations.  An innovative solar system provides energy and light, while furniture is expertly made from recycled materials.  And while you may be thinking ‘eco-friendly’ equals composting toilets, at The Oxford Yurt you’ll find amenities fit for a hotel suite, with flushing loos and gorgeously hot showers.

Swathed in fresh air, greenery and looking out over the ancient White Horse of Uffington, there really is no better place to escape from the busyness of everyday life – with bees, butterflies and skylarks also frequent visitors to the site!

All that’s left to do now is select your ideal accommodation, from the expansive Geodome, welcoming Gertle or homely Yurtle.  All are heated, insulated and cosily furnished with vibrantly colourful décor including cushions, flowers and lanterns, and all are equipped with comfy futons and warming wood burners.  Each also include their own wooden cabins housing a kitchen, outdoor lounge/bar and covered dining area to enjoy deliciously catered or self-prepared meals.

The blissfully secluded, contemporary Geodome sleeps up to 13 people.  The Gertle is a traditional yurt with hand-crafted wooden frame and sleeps up to 12. While The Yurtle is the most intimate venue and sleeps up to 8.  A few more people can be accommodated at each venue with the addition of a tipi or bell tent.

For original in-holiday-home entertainment, why not enjoy rifling through a rail of beautiful vintage fancy-dress or playing a few old-school outdoor sports games? Should you decide to take the part self-catered option (Tesco can make home deliveries to the site!) you’ll find cupboards stacked with exquisite crockery for your own decadent Afternoon Tea.

Exceptional catered meals are provided from the Hub & Hob – a quirky 1970s caravan.  Menus are innovative, ever-changing and seriously tasty…how about starting your day with a toasted sourdough bun packed with egg, halloumi and chilli jam – or ending it with a mouthwatering Indian-style banquet, followed by a dessert of marshmallows around your evening campfire? You’ll also be provided with a DIY breakfast hamper that includes a tempting array of morning treats

Slightly further afield, a short drive will take you to the White Horse of Uffington itself, where you can hike right to the top.  Perhaps you’d prefer to visit Oxford with its array of shops, or for a spot of punting on the river?  Horse riding and various watersports are also available nearby.

Things to note:

Minimum 2 night stays, items to bring include sleeping bag/duvet, towel, drinks & snacks, wellies, torch, eye mask, charcoal (should you wish to use the BBQ provided). Hens are welcome to decorate the yurts to their liking, whole site hire is available for up to 45 guests, the site opens from early April to mid-October.

Weekends: a choice of part catered Bed & Breakfast package or The Full Yurt package (includes 4 meals) on a per person basis.  Mid-week stays (Monday-Thursday): self catered only and hire of the individual venues starts at £300 per night.
