Meet the Muddy Awards Finalists!

It has been a massive task of bean counting to work out the finalists in this year’s Muddy Stilettos Awards but we have our shortlist. Raise your glass to 120 brilliant businesses in 24 categories.

First of all, a massive thank you to everyone who has taken part so far in this year’s Muddy Stiletto Awards. There are loads of brilliant businesses in Wilts, and we’ve received thousands of nominations across all 24 categories – so you’re clearly in love with local too!

I’m always a bit conflicted at this point in the Awards.

It’s super-fun to discover cool indie businesses, and see which village or town is having its ‘moment’! And I love telling the Finalists they’ve made it through. But there are so many incredible businesses whose journey stops today (though get in touch if you think we should be featuring you anyway – we’re all ears!).

The Finals start and voting opens on Wednesday 15 May at 10amThey come and go in just 7 days, so if you love a local business and want to give it a pat on the back, head to the Awards site and do your bit before it slips your mind (yeah, I know what you’re like) because the Finalist with the most votes will be crowned Winner.

Right, that’s enough blather from me. Time to meet the Finalists. Who gets your vote?

The Toast Office at Whitley (Café category) is a wonderful example of young entrepreneurial success! A lovely destination, warm and cosy, and traditional and trendy at the same time, The Toast Office, lead by owner Luke Johnson, has breathed life into the village and given it a beating heart

Whole heartedly vote for Natalie Howsen Beauty at The Causeway in Chippenham. She and Elaine give a warm welcome and make the experience some thing to look forward to. Unrivalled facialist knowledge in my opinion. Superb products and fab surroundings.

The Cheese Shop in Bradford on Avon. Lovely little shop with big surprises, the most loveliest and tastiest of cheeses with the expert knowledge of Christophe!
Plus plenty of gorgeous chutneys, biscuits, quiches, wine etc. Absolute must for a visit.

The toast office is fantastic, so friendly and welcoming.
My 6 year old son visited with his class from Shaw Primary school and told me all about the visit their walk there, it was clearly an experience that made a huge impact on him as he NEVER talks about what he does at school!
