Psst....want the word on the street? We've got cool co-working, theatre, wellness, openings, and of course, bonnets.
New term, new you?
There are a few tickets left for Verve Wellness Festival in Tisbury this Saturday. Fancy gong bathing, forest walks, yoga, pilates, meditation and great food & drink? They’ve got it covered (mainly in tarpaulin).
Bonnet-spotting in Bath
One of our favourite pastimes has become like shooting fish in a barrel since Netflix stared filming Persuasion in Bath this summer. Like Bridgerton, it’s a witty, modern update, but unlike it the costume and design are subtle and muted. Maybe director Carrie Cracknell has spent lockdown watch Scandi drama. The Bridgerton cast & crew have also been around filming series two, and, we’re delighted to report, were spotted this week having tea in The Pump Rooms IRL.
Get me out of the house!
Office doesn’t want you back? We hear you. Handy as it is to WFH, sometimes you need a change of scene, so we are very interested to hear of gorgeous co-working space and cafe on Bath Riverside Cassia Community. And, they’re developing a new branch in Bradford-on-avon in Avonworks House, just off Silver Street in the centre of town. We can report the excellence of the venue, having just been to the super-cool private view of the Skate art auction (which, incidentally, raised £21K) held there a couple of weeks ago.
No time to stay at home
New cinema alert! We’re so excited about Marlborough indie Parade Cinema, we’re going to support with a night of Bond and a peruse of the Yapp Brother’s wine list. Selfless.
September in the Rain
The new Salisbury Playhouse show has opened to rave 4 * reviews (The Stage says ‘pitch perfect’). We’re going soon, so watch this space for our the Muddy lowdown. An actual theatre outing, can’t blinkin’ wait.
