Grab a checky blanket, a bottle and a friend (in that order) and head down to Lost Cinema’s outdoor summer screenings – because there’s just nothing like cinema under the stars. Their thing is to combine stunning locations with sure-fire fun movie hits, and first up is gloriously camp mega-musical The Greatest Showman staring Hugh Jackman in the dramatic surrounds of Berkeley Castle.
Lost Cinema are offering Muddy readers the chance to win one of 6 pairs of tickets for one of their Gloucestershire summer screenings: Berkeley Castle on 30 July, and St Michael’s Park Cirencester on 31 July. Both films start at 9.15, and you’re welcome to bring picnics, chairs, cushions (we’re not as young as we once were – the checky blanket thing may be a tad optimistic). There’s nothing like the great outdoors (and maybe some liquid refreshment) to liberate the vocal chords, and sing-a-long musicals are just the ticket for a let-your-hair-down night out, the like of which have been fairly sparse of late.
Keep an eye out next month for news of screenings at Salisbury Cathedral of Bridesmaids, Moulin Rouge and Jurassic Park at the end of August, and more Muddy free tickets, natch.
So go lose yourself with Lost Cinema, and good luck.
