The Muddy Awards are coming! Find out more about the hottest lifestyle awards in mid and southern England.

They’re coming! The most prestigious lifestyle awards in the UK return from Weds 24 April – Weds 22 May 2019,  focussing on businesses outside London, as chosen by you, our discerning readers!

Now in their 3rd year in Wilts, the Muddy Stilettos Awards celebrate the most exciting, brilliant businesses across 21 ‘Muddy’ counties, offering a helping hand to the local high street and highlighting the outstanding places that our fun-loving readers want to know about.

In 2018 over 15,000 local businesses entered our Awards and we received more than 600,000 votes from our loyal readers.

We’re super-proud that the Muddy Stilettos Awards remain resolutely FREE for all businesses to enter.

But this year we’re also putting our money where our mouth is, with a £1000 CASH PRIZE for one of the winning businesses.

PLUS we’re offering a working wardrobe for men and women:

  • For one female winner, stunning designer label Winser London, beloved of celebrities like Gillian Anderson, Annie Lennox and Emma Watson, will be on hand to give a £500 helping hand to your workwear.

We’re also introducing a ‘Best Newcomer Award’ for the first time, to spread the word for businesses billing for less than 18 months.

I would love to nominate my business Nanny Nellies Attic -vintage china and prop hire. A small business that is going from strength to strength, hiring out vintage china to weddings, afternoon tea parties, baby showers, funeral wakes, hen dos and even travelling theatre companies. We always do all the washing up too, with delivery free if local. The lovely brides enjoy using the post boxes and milk churns for their wedding props. I love to help them style the day using all of our props from love seats to rustic table planners. The business is growing and so currently I am reproducing a brand new website that will show off all the beautiful things I have available to hire. I love all things vintage, its become a hobby and way of life for me. So having Nanny Nellies Attic allows me to indulge in that passion wholeheartedly!

It seems a little cheeky nominating ourselves – Culture Coffee – but we’re proud of what we add to the cafe scene in Salisbury. It’s also great to be part Muddy Stilettos focus on local businesses!

I’d like to nominate the Wigginton shop @ cafe near tring run by volunteers a brilliant village asset, we’ve all waited a long time for a shop in Wigginton since our last shop closed a number of years ago. The Wigginton cafe has a lovely relax atmosphere, well behaved dogs are welcome, outside there are picnic tables (well used) and bicycle racks, oh did I mention that this cafe is in Wigginton, yes Wigginton in hertfordshire near tring but up on the hill, the Chilterns also of course near the Ridgeway path so a great place to slightly detour and refuel, so all I can now say is give the shop and cafe in Wigginton a go. Oh there I go again name dropping, have a great summer chez
