Art and Conflict: Works from the Swindon Collection, Swindon Museum & Art Gallery, Swindon, to Sat 1 Dec

Don’t miss this wonderful exhibition – the Art and Conflict collection reflects six artists interpretations of war and conflict, all coming from the Swindon collection of Modern British Art. These drawings are paired with Cicatrix, which displays the story of Wiltshire during World War 1 in a contemporary art form. Dracula, Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, to Sat 6 Oct

Mwah, ha, ha! Literature’s most infamous vampire swoops into the Cheltenham stage to bite necks, drink blood and avoid all wooden stakes and garlic. The Everyman kicks off this nine-week tour of thrilling tales, gothic staging and blood-thirsty characters, just in time for Halloween.

Tempted by three days of fundraising, fabulous racing and remembrance, not to mention shopping to die for, delicious food and bubbles (you’ll find me in the Golden Miller Champagne Bar), we at Muddy poked our noses into the equine action to find out more about it.


Very Cowley at Christmas, Cowley Manor, 28-29 Nov

For one sparkly night and two fabulous days Cowley Manor will play host to the much loved and most anticipated Christmas event of the year – A Very Cowley Christmas 2018. By nightfall on the 28th November the manor house will be transformed into the most exclusive shopping address in the Cotswolds, bedrooms will become fashion boutiques, the lounge area will become a treasure trove of jewels, fine food, tipples and champagne, the ground floor a showcase of the most stylish gifts ideas and the garden room a mecca of all things beauty!  With informative masterclass sessions throughout the following day … this really is the event of the festive season.
