The Winslow Boy, Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, Mon 16 to Sat 21 April

Terence Rattigan’s classic family drama based on a real-life event involving a Gloucestershire boy will tug at your heart strings and moral compass. From the producers of The King’s Speech and Single Spies, Tessa Peake-Jones (of Only Fools and Horses and Grantchester fame) and Aden Gillet (Jack in The House of Elliot) play the mother and father to a boy who’s been expelled from naval college for theft. Race for Life, Lydiard Park, Swindon, Thu 19 & Sat 20 April

Walk, jog, run or drag yourself around the park in a variety of events, all in aid of Cancer Research UK. Saturday 19 May is Pretty Muddy Kids, an obstacle course for little ones, followed by Pretty Muddy for us lot. Sun 20th is a 5k or 10k for the tougher amongst us. lydiardpark
