Roots, Shoots & Muddy Boots is a brand new outdoor child-led imaginative play session located on the grounds of Cerney House Gardens, with mud, paint, water and sand play. You can take a stroll about the pretty grounds post-play – keep an eye out for snowdrops!

Embrace the trend for throwback fun and hit this roller disco, complete with classic tunes from the 80s and 90s. We’re sure we’ve still got our leg warmers somewhere… Just don’t blame us if you fall…

SELF-CARE: Self-Love Valentine’s Day Retreat, The Farm at Avebury, 12 Feb

This Valentine’s Day we’re all about showing ourselves some love and this one-day retreat is the perfect place to start. In partnership with Wildflower Retreats, attendees will be treated to yoga, Pilates, reflexology, meditation and a wellbeing workshop, as well as a 7-course tasting menu lunch, all in the glorious grounds of The Farm at Avebury.

DANCE: Sexy, Seductive Heels Intensive Performance Masterclass, Vibe Dance Swindon, 13 Feb

With a morning session for beginners and an afternoon session for more experienced dancers, this urban and commercial dance class for ages 16+ is all about embracing self-confidence and strutting your stuff. Expect sassy tunes and killer moves.

CINEMA: 50 First Dates at Whatley Manor Sunday Cinema Club, 13 Feb

Snuggle up in Whatley Manor’s stylish cinema (a multiplex this is not!) with popcorn, followed by a three-course dinner in the ever-delish Grey’s Brasserie. This classic Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler rom-com always gives us the warm fuzzies, making it the perfect pre-V-day date. The film starts at 4:15 pm.

TALK: Learning More About Women in Politics, Mackenzies, Swindon, 17 Feb

Young Female Professional was set up to bring together like-minded women in Swindon, with monthly talks on everything from career guidance to self-care. Feb’s session is all about women in politics and questioning when men often seem to have all the power. The talk is free to attend and starts at 7pm.

FLOWER SKILLS: Wedding Flowers Workshop with Pod and Pip, Salisbury, 19 Feb

Everyone knows flowers are one of the most expensive parts of a wedding, so why not try your hand at creating your own? Salisbury florist Pod and Pip’s workshop is here to help you along the way, with a day-long session that will teach you how to make your own hand-tied bouquet for the big day, as well as buttonholes and table decorations. They’ll also give hints and tips on how to condition and prepare your flowers, as well as practical advice on how, when and where to buy your flowers for the wedding day.

Flowers and materials are all included along with tea, coffee and cake.

These sessions are very popular, so if you don’t get a slot in this one, there’s another one scheduled for April.

The Tuppenny is one of our favourite local pubs and this month sees the launch of its quarterly live music partnership with Sounds Like Woman, a charitable organisation promoting female artists – songwriters, singers and music producers and supporting victims of domestic abuse. Expect to witness amazing female musicians in a safe and comforting space.

FUN: Bongo’s Bingo, MECA Swindon, 25 Feb

FLOWER WORKSHOP: Young Blooms Florists Large Table Centre Workshop, The Three Daggers, Edington, 26 Feb

Flex your creative muscles and head home with a seriously impressive floral creation at this workshop, held by ultra-cool florist Young Blooms. The session will guide you in how to create a large scale table-centre, be it for home or for an event.
