<p>Move over France and Italy, English wine is having quite the moment. In fact, wine tourism in the UK has surged by 55% since 2022, as more of us discover the award-winning vineyards right on our doorstep. To celebrate English Wine Week (20th-28th June), we bring you five brilliant Wiltshire vineyards helping to put the county on the wine map, from family-run estates and boutique vineyards to venues offering tastings and even overnight stays. </p>

<p>This Muddy Wilts favourite is a boutique family-run vineyard, with French vines producing exquisite white and rosé fizz. Their Blanc de Noirs even bagged a Platinum Decanter Award in 2025. <p>How about waking up to panoramic views over vines and woodland (and maybe meeting the odd alpaca)? You can stay at this boutique&nbsp;vineyard, which&nbsp;started life in 2023 when nearly 4,000 vines were planted by hand. Liba is the brainchild of a former London-based couple, who left corporate life in search of a more sustainable way of living. The upshot? Biodynamic winemaking, with the first small-batch natural wines due this year. You can visit too &#8211; Liba has three glamping pods, each with a wood-fired hot tub, fire pit, kitchen, central heating and walk-in shower. </p>

<p>This six-acre boutique vineyard was first planted back in 2006, and is now a family-run operation known for their lip-smacking red wines in particular.  As the name might suggest, Maud Heath overlooks the historic Maud’s Heath causeway near the village of Bremhill in Calne. Fun fact: their Bramble Hill wine comes the original name for Bremhill, which was once renowned for its abundant supply of bramble bushes. <p>Whitehall Vineyard has bagged multiple awards, including golds and silvers at Decanter’s World Wine Awards and the Independent Wine Awards, to name a few. You can&#8217;t visit the vineyard, but you can buy the wines from the excellent <a href="https://www.whitehallgardencentre.co.uk/collections/whitehall-vineyard?srsltid=AfmBOoo3b_PV5qLsyuiNRyWq2RSRFfsm_sEtm5Vhz06TTIuFyFkqxxZM&amp;page=1" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Whitehall Garden Centre</a> in Lacock.</p>

<p><strong>What?</strong> The Ingram Hill family planted this boutique vineyard back in 2005, and it now grows 2,000 vines of Chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunière &#8211; aka the perfect grapes for sparkling wine. You&#8217;ll find Southcott in the Vale of Pewsey between Stonehenge and Avebury. </p>
