<p>With a six-course tasting menu, optional wine flight, live music and stunning surroundings, Iford’s supper club makes a pretty good start to the weekend. Tons of ingredients hail from either the Iford Estate itself, or the local area. Savoury pear Bakewell with Bath Blue cheese and plum chutney sounds pretty good to us, as does skewered scallop glazed with garlic. It’s worth knowing that this one is an early start – the night kicks off at 6:45pm and finishes shortly after 10pm. If you’re the nominated driver, there’s a ‘low and no’ drinks menu too. <p>The clever peeps over at Glove Factory Studios are giving supper clubs a new twist this season. Alongside their legendary seasonal feasts, they’ll be combining lighter meals with inspirational talks. Tuck into drinks and nibbles while you listen to the likes of specialist tulip grower Polly Nicholson, who will be sharing her passion for these mighty flowers. Afterwards, wander over to the Wild Herb at The Field Kitchen, for a two-course supper. <p>Whatley Manor celebrates its 21<sup>st</sup> anniversary this year, and the hotel is pulling out all the stops. From 12<sup>th</sup>-15<sup>th</sup> September, executive chef Ricki Weston and his team will be showcasing their talents to small numbers of guests, with a four course Michelin-inspired menu (£195). You’ll be seated around the open kitchen, which means you’re right in the thick of the action. For any foodies out there, this promises to be pretty epic – think Orkney scallop, lobster ravioli and venison with black truffle. Yum!</p>

<p>When it comes to sustainability credentials, PKG is pretty up there. The menu is deeply rooted in their gorgeous walled garden, and the seasonal supper parties are always a huge hit. Think long tables, botanical cocktails, live music and an al fresco three-course feast. Oh, and a steady flow of wine for the non-drivers out there! With previous roles at The Royal Crescent Hotel, Lucknam Park and Bath Priory, he’s no stranger to creating a mouthwatering combo. <p>If you’re a fish fan, head over to Marlborough on 6th November. Jack and Charlie Stein will be spearheading a five-course meal, along with wine pairings. Expect communal seating and a cracking feast – after all, there is little this duo don’t know about fine food. The menu sounds pretty fabulous, with the likes of chilli garlic clams, sea bass with beurre blanc and rack of Cornish lamb. The wine doesn’t sound too shabby either, with Vinho Verde, Burgundy and Sauternes all having a star turn. <p>For something a little bit different, head to The Farm for a cookery club / supper club mash-up. You’ll learn how to make your chosen main course, then enjoy your spoils in the dining room while the talented team whip up your dessert (choices include mini pavlovas or baked bananas). Guests are welcome to enjoy a drink while cooking and, better still, it’s BYO. September’s theme is BBQ, October is ‘around the world’ and November is ‘pub classics.’ At £55 for two adults, this is cracking value too. <p>Chef Jake Simpson was formerly head chef at Soho’s Bocca di Lupo, and now he’s cooking up a storm at The Rectory Hotel. The monthly supper clubs are a hot ticket and are soon set to return for autumn. Do keep tabs on their <a href="https://www.instagram.com/therectoryhotel/">Instagram</a>, where dates will be revealed. To tempt your tastebuds, the last supper club included egg yolk ravioli with girolle mushrooms, turbot with smoked roe sauce and strawberry profiterole. Yum!</p>

<p>Ping Coombes won Masterchef 2014 with incredible dishes inspired by her Malaysian heritage, and her supper clubs have been a runaway success ever since. If you’re a fan of Malaysian or Mexican cuisine, head a smidge into Somerset for this fab mashup. Ping is joining forces with Ben Tollworthy of Somerset Foodie, to create an epic menu. It’s largely lamb-inspired &#8211; think fiery lamb rendang, smoky lamb barbacoa, hot sambal and spicy salsa! You won’t know exactly what you’re eating (or even who you’re sitting next to) until the night, but you can expect six courses packed with flavours. <p>Ok so this isn’t a supper club, but it’s great news for foodies. TASTE Salisbury is in full swing this month, and it’s packed with activities and events celebrating the good stuff. <a href="https://www.experiencesalisbury.co.uk/whats-on/2024/september/an-evening-with-charlie-bigham-favourite-food-for-family-and-friends/">Charlie Bigham</a> will be appearing at Salisbury Cathedral on 26, to celebrate and sign copies of his new recipe book, while 29 sees the return of Foodie Sunday. Expect food demos, tastings, talks and workshops with local producers. There’s even intriguing talk of eating competitions&#8230;</p>
