<p>Listen up festival-goers! After 42 years, WOMAD is taking a break for 2025. Exciting news is afoot however – come 2026, the Wiltshire festival will be moving from Charlton Park to a new home nearby. The exact location is currently under wraps, but we’ll keep you posted with updates from founder Peter Gabriel&#8230;</p>

<p>Cheery news for kids around Bradford-on-Avon. A new pottery painting café has opened in the former Orton jewellery shop. It’s the brainchild of ex Norland nanny Jazmine Young, who’s worked for high net-worth families across the globe and knows <em>exactly</em> what pleases little people. With coffee, cakes and adult-only sessions also available, she’s pretty clued-up about what pleases grown-ups too. <p>We may be miles from the slopes, but wannabe powder hounds can hone their skills at a new ski simulator near Warminster. <a href="https://southwiltsski.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">South Wilts Ski Club </a>sounds pretty ingenious to us – it has a constantly rolling surface, with variable speeds and steepness. Sessions come fully loaded, with an instructor, boots and skis.</p>

<p>Lacock is adding a gorgeous new indie to its shopping scene. The Tanyard, which opens this week, is stocked with a meticulously curated mix of gifts, homewares and art, all made in Britain (this wallet is by Tori Lo Designs). It’s the brainchild of Lacock local, Joanna Mountain Lawrence, who has pretty impressive credentials. She’s creative director of Wilderness and has two decades adding good vibes to the UK festival scene. Expect lashings of vintage finds, handmade pieces and some excellent gift inspo.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s also great news for <a href="https://www.winemonkey.co.uk/?srsltid=AfmBOoqPG4K0dOg60_CEKqomlS8yak1V8ez2c283d04wkqgF0ABP9wmz" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wine Monkey</a>. The Chippenham wine bar is set to expand next door, with a deli and bistro. The Kitchen by Wine Monkey is getting set to dish up brunches and lunches, and it’ll be used for wine-focused evening events too. Cheers!</p>

<p>Fancy diving into a retro movie or two? Marlborough’s Parade Cinema is adding a vintage film club to its repertoire. Things kick off on 28 Nov, with Dr Zhivago, then December’s hot ticket is A White Christmas (of course). Head there early and you can catch happy hour at the cocktail bar. We’re in!</p>

<p>Pizza Express is getting into the Christmas charity spirit by bringing back its festive Snowball Dough Balls. If you’ve yet to experience this delight, they’re basically a sweet version of the regular doughballs, covered in chocolate sauce, cinnamon and icing sugar. They’ve already hit hit restaurants nationwide on the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pizzaexpress.com/christmas" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Christmas menu</a>, but 19 Nov will be Snowball Dough Ball Day, when you can try these appetising treats for just £1.
