Real Life Yoga

Muddy says: If you’re looking for an inspirational and passionate teacher in an intimate studio, then Real Life Yoga is the place for you. Oh, and there’s gin too!

Ah, now this is how Muddy likes it – a yoga studio with a difference. Real Life Yoga is the brainchild of the extraordinary Emma Goodwin, who, after years of slogging it out in the rat race, fuelled by the poison of perfectionism (aren’t we all?) and too many nights downing the champagne, found yoga (or, in her words, yoga found her) and she turned her life around 180 degrees.
She offers a number of yoga classes for all levels, including beginners, mixed level, improvers, private and semi-private, a chance to enjoy a practice that is focused purely on you. This is especially good for those new to yoga or recovering from an injury. A big tick goes to her personal touch – during each session she will provide detailed instruction, taking all of your needs into consideration. She also runs a teenage programme, as well as classes just for the man in your life.
What makes Real Life Yoga super special is the emphasis placed on Workplace Wellness. Having been through the worst of it – I’ll let her tell you her story in her own words – Emma works regularly with businesses providing in-office weekly yoga sessions, as well as yoga for wellness days , staff meetings and customer events. She also allows her regular yoga students the benefit of her extraordinary experience.
Now for the fun stuff…..Who pairs yoga and gin-tasting? Well, Real Life Yoga does, natch. What could be better than an evening of yoga followed by a gin-tasting dinner in the glorious, inspiring grounds of Widbrook Grange? Fancy Poses and Prosecco? Uh, yes please!
