The Old Ale & Coffee House, Salisbury

A fresh, funky take on a classic ale house, serving hearty modern food and delicious drinks in a friendly atmosphere.

A hop, skip, and a jump away from Salisbury cathedral is the Old Ale & Coffee House, a funky, friendly gastropub harking the likes of jazzed-up avo on toast, BBQ spiced cauliflower, chargrilled steak, and fine plates of fish and chips. The house prides itself on its extensive drinks menu, each one apparently thoroughly taste-tested (there are worse jobs), and the self-proclaimed best brunch in Salisbury.

We’re particular fans of their roomy covered courtyard area with big screen, perfect for watching the football or simply basking in the heat, pint in hand. The staff are always friendly, and the relaxed atmosphere is refreshingly open to dogs and babies.

Perfect for girls nights out and leisurely family Sunday lunches alike.
