<p>2026 marks the fifth year for this festival, curated by jazz legend Claire Martin OBE. No wonder it&#8217;s such a success, it doesn’t get more idyllic than listening to jazz while sipping on bubbles at Iford Manor. Performances take place in the gardens, cloister and even over lunch in the restaurant, with a line-up including DJ Mike Vitti and singer Vanessa Haynes, who cut her teeth as a backing vocalist to Van Morrison.<a href="https://ifordmanor.digitickets.co.uk/category/68619" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Tickets</a> from £58.</p>

<p>This year’s citywide celebration sees an immersive production of Romeo and Juliet, live music from&nbsp;<strong><a href="https://www.wiltshirecreative.co.uk/events/bournemouth-symphony-orchestra?campaignkw=BSO%20text" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra</a></strong>&nbsp;and even 80s legends&nbsp;<strong><a href="https://www.wiltshirecreative.co.uk/events/tpau?campaignkw=Tpau%20text" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">T&#8217;Pau</a></strong>. There are tons of events for little ones too, including&nbsp;<em><strong><a href="https://www.wiltshirecreative.co.uk/events/the-story-forge-make-your-own-myth?campaignkw=Story%20forge%20text" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Story Forge</a></strong></em>&nbsp;from award-winning children&#8217;s theatre company The Rubbish Shakespeare Company, and the fabulous (and free)&nbsp;<strong><a href="https://www.wiltshirecreative.co.uk/events/family-fiesta-2?campaignkw=Family%20Fiesta%20text" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Family Fiesta</a></strong>. </p>

<p>Good news for Classic Ibiza fans &#8211; it&#8217;s even longer this year, with a new live chill-out set by Urban Soul Orchestra. The brilliant London Community Gospel Choir is once again set to join in the fun &#8211; chances are you’ve heard them in action at The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Glastonbury, or the Grammys. They’ve even recorded with the likes of Adele, Blur, Madonna and Gregory Porter – pretty impressive stuff. <p>2026 is a biggie for If Opera, as it celebrates it&#8217;s 30th year. There are some epic productions planned, including<em> <a href="https://www.ifopera.com/carmen" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Carmen</a></em>, <a href="https://www.ifopera.com/the-chocolate-soldier" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>The Chocolate Soldier</em> </a>and the brilliant <a href="https://www.ifopera.com/picnic-prom-2026" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Picnic Prom</a>. New for 2026 is the <a href="https://www.ifopera.com/family-fiesta-day" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Family Fiesta</a> on 9th August. </p>

<p>This super-interactive festival is a great shout for families. Kids can get serious stuck in, doing everything from exploring a WW2 trench to being transported to the Victorian ‘Wild West.’ Of course there is tons for adults too, with talks from the likes of Alice Loxton, Tracey Borman and even Al Murray. <a href="https://www.chalkefestival.com/tickets/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tickets</a>, from £29, give you access to every talk. </p>

<p>Bookworms would do well to head to Marlborough, for the market town’s annual literary extravaganza. So far, the line-up includes authors Sebastian Faulks and Kit de Waal, plus biographer Anthony Seldon &#8211; who&#8217;ll no doubt be talking about his bestseller <em>Sunak at 10</em>. There are workshops too, covering everything from book binding to creative writing, plus a vibrant kids’ scene. </p>

<p>From 25-26th July, the crème de la crème of the dance world will descend on Hatch House, in a four-day ballet extravaganza. Expect a heady mix of classical, neo-classical and contemporary styles, all in the 17<sup>th</sup> Century walled garden. The spectacle &#8211; organised by Matt Brady, director of the Covent Garden Dance Company – includes a three-course gourmet meal (<a href="https://www.coventgardendance.com/events/hatch-27-july" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">tickets </a>£185). </p>

<p>This festival at Greenhill Fields in Trowbridge is relatively light on the wallet (from £120 including camping, and under 18&#8217;s free with a paying adult). It also has a promising line up, including 3 Daft Monkeys and Squeeze co-founder Chris Difford.</p>
