<p>From the scrumptious supper clubs to the glorious restaurant, food at PKG revolves around the walled garden. But this south-facing paradise isn&#8217;t just about edibles. It&#8217;s brimming with blooms, and from June-November you can take full advantage of the PYO flower bed. For £15, you can fill a bucket with anything from dahlias to cosmos, foxgloves, sweet peas, asters and anemones. </p>

<p>This family favourite near Swindon is well-established on the PYO scene. You’ll find a glut of summer strawberries, cleverly grown on raised platforms which makes light work for little pickers. It’s open right through until October, with waves of raspberries, gooseberries, blackcurrants and redcurrants. Not got a sweet tooth? You’ll find veg too, including broad beans, sweetcorn and pumpkins for Halloween. There’s also oodles of space for the kids to run around, plus a play area with walkways and climbing frames. The farm shop and café are close at hand, which means you can sit outside and sip a coffee while they burn off steam. Heaven!</p>

<p>With incredible views towards the rolling downs, Ansty PYO is a Muddy fave. Time it right and you’ll find lashings of strawberries, raspberries, redcurrants and gooseberries. If you’re lucky, you can pick blueberries and blackberries too. There’s also a cracking café and fab farm shop, selling scrumptious homemade cakes and biscuits, baked by Tracy. One for the kids – this year’s seven-acre maize maze is Olympic themed, and will keep them busy for anything up to 11/2 hours! <p>Sunflower picking has just started at this family-run spot near Lyneham. Grab your secateurs and head over there for a blooming marvellous bouquet. £1 a stem, but do double check availability before you go! There’s a cute <a href="https://www.facebook.com/p/Pound-Farm-Cafe-61559026217314/">café</a> too, serving brunch, lunch and cream teas.</p>

<p>This gorgeous walled garden is positive frothing with flowers, including dahlias, salvia, phlox and hydrangeas. Caroline sells them by the bucket and in bouquets, but you can PYO your own too. Just make sure you BYO bucket and secateurs!</p>

<p>Head towards Hamphire and you’ll find this family-run PYO, near Andover. Current spoils include strawberries and raspberries, with gooseberries in the pipeline. Prefer to let someone else do the hard work? You’ll find ready picked berries, plus other spoils like asparagus, carrots and beetroot in the shop. Time your visit with the café opening hours (10-2pm), where you’ll find a great lemon drizzle, speciality teas and Marshfield ice cream. <p>Nip a smidge over the Somerset border, where you can gather armfuls of cornflowers at <a href="https://www.instagram.com/palettepasture/">Palette and Pasture</a>. Bliss! Sunflowers will also be ready for action any day now. Kids in tow? They can leap about on the giant inflatables (£5 / half hour) and get stuck into the maize maze. Afterwards, snaffle some Somerset Gelato at the ice cream parlour. Made from Paul and Rachel’s micro dairy herd, it’s pretty epic.</p>

<p>While the lavender here may be stunning, it&#8217;s not the only star of the show. Time it right and you can also weave your way through 6.5 acres of sunflowers at this dreamy spot. Once you’ve bought a sunflower ticket (£5) you can snip as many as you like – your ticket covers you for five stems, and it’s £1 a stem thereafter. Top tip: if you’re lucky enough to find a bloom with multiple heads, it still counts as one stem. While you’re there, soak up the heady scent of the lavender fields. Then, pop to the shop, where you’ll find the most incredible lavender hand cream. There’s also a café, serving lavender-infused cakes and ice cream. Sunflowers are expected to be in bloom through August, but do check before you go.</p>
