Book now for Longleat’s brand new festival with bite!
Two of the UK’s most successful indie rock bands will be headlining a brand new festival at Longleat this summer. Longleat Live, a family friendly mega gig, takes the musical glory from Longleat’s previous Food & Drink Festivals and hypes it up to the next level with amazing live music from headliners The Wombats and Razorlight.
Taking place on Saturday 4 July – Sunday 5 July, ‘Longleat Live – The Festival with Bite’ will feature sets from Liverpool’s finest, The Wombats, headlining on Saturday, and indie rock royalty Razorlight closing the festival on the Sunday night.
Support acts include Sundara Karma on the Saturday, and Ella Eyre and Lucy Spraggan on Sunday.
Of course, the popular food festival will still be there, including the culinary delights of live cooking demonstrations with much-loved Hairy Bikers (Saturday) and ever-popular James Martin (Sunday) with appearances from Emma, Viscountess Weymouth. The two-day event will feature a Food Court filled with a range of delicious food stalls.
“I am incredibly excited to be launching this new summer festival weekend showcasing three of my very favourite things; music, animals, and food,” said Emma, Viscountess Weymouth. “Longleat has been the stage for a number of iconic artists including The Rolling Stones, who performed on the steps of Longleat House, and more recently Elton John in 2016. Now, for 2020, we are reviving our musical heritage with the launch of Longleat Live: The Festival with Bite – which will become an annual event. The combination of fantastic live music, in a stunning setting with great food, celebrity chefs and cooking demonstrations alongside our amazing animals and other fun attractions will make this a truly unique event.”
There’ll also be funfair entertainment and activities for all ages. Have a fun-filled day with all the family exploring the Safari Drive-through as well as the other park attractions, including Koala Creek, giant hedge maze, miniature railway and Adventure Castle attractions. Eat locally produced, delicious food while soaking up the atmosphere as artists take to the big stage.
Visitors can choose from a variety of ticket options for the festival: there’s the full access package for those wanting the music, the food festival and to visit the Safari Park, Longleat House and all of the other attractions, or there are music only and day visit only packages too. Weekend access options are also available for those wanting to attend both days.
The festival will raise funds for the African wildlife charity Tusk and the International Koala Centre of Excellence (IKCE). A thoroughly entertaining, one of a kind day out!
