Hot new swimwear for summer
Sunbathing is my specialist subject and the weather's hotting up. Check out the Muddy edit of must have swimwear to suit every shape and size.
Unless you’re lucky enough to have a pool in your back garden (if so, I’m expecting an invite immediately when lockdown’s fully lifted) then it’s unlikely that our swimwear is going to see actual water this year.
However, you can be damn sure we’ll be outside in a costume or bikini, soaking up every scrap of sunlight we can to emerge from lockdown bronzed goddesses. And to do that, you’ve got to look the part, right?
Here’s our round up of the sexiest swimwear, for all body types, to buy online right now – and quick – before the sun disappears!
Mint Velvet
Go bright or go home! This classic plunge bikini comes in five colours and prints and is handily sold by cup size.
Top £35, Bottoms £29
Cos
We <heart> the colour of this scoop back, halter-neck number. It’s a really flattering choice if you’re, erm, less gifted in the chest department, plus you can still tan your back. Result.
£45
Rixo
Womenswear brand Rixo has a cult celeb following with it’s trendy and playful designs. This cute blue and white number is serving up major Bridget Bardot vibes and scores points for making the wide, supportive straps look totally stylish.

Boden
This set looks like it’s been ripped from the pages of a Dolce & Gabanna shoot (just for a tenth of the price). We love the fun citrus print, plus it holds you in at all the right places with a tummy-tucking high waist and supportive wide straps. Win win.
Top £25, Bottoms £30
Hunza G
From London brand Hunza G, this seersucker one piece (look out for this fabric everywhere this summer, btw) comes in 10 shades and has a really flattering ribbed effect. One size fits 6 – 14.

Tropic of C
Forget about LBD, it’s all about the little black swimsuit – the colour’s super-slimming, plus it brings out your tan just as well as white. John Lewis & Partners
Bikini too itsy bitsy and a swimsuit too taut? Go for the middle ground with a tankini like this bold palm print number from John Lewis’ own brand. It comes with coordinating fold-down bottoms for extra coverage.
Top £32, Bottoms £20
Toast
You can rely on Toast for top-quality, stylish swimwear that’s designed with women’s bodies in mind, rather than girls. We love the irregular spot print on this two piece, and the fact the bottoms give full coverage at the rear. It’s a strong pass on the hat though!
Top £75, Bottoms £60
H&M
For high street sports and swimwear you can’t go wrong with H&M. This padded number with cool tortoiseshell detail, is ideal for smaller busts and the oyster colour makes it look way more expensive than it is.
