Longstones, Avebury

Looking for a stylish countryside stay in Avebury? This collection of beautiful barns ticks all the boxes – think heritage charm, luxe interiors, hot tubs and walks from your doorstep. Oh, and did we mention, they are dog friendly too…

Nestled just a short stroll from Avebury’s ancient stone circle, this peaceful bolthole blends heritage charm with 21st-century luxe. The six beautifully designed barns are the work of fourth-generation farmer Ben, who has lovingly converted his family’s old farm buildings into sleek, stylish holiday stays – all in a UNESCO World Heritage setting.

While Avebury may be a popular tourist attraction, Longstones feels incredibly tucked away and secluded, with views to the Ridgeway and an air of peaceful countryside calm. On site, you’ll find four new barns and two brick barn conversions. All sit within thoughtfully landscaped grounds, peppered with reclaimed cobbles, lavender beds and thousands of freshly planted trees.

Each barn is a clever blend of rustic character and contemporary style – think exposed beams, triple-glazing and wood burning stoves (with logs at the ready). There are tons of little luxuries too, like Sonos speakers, milk fresh from Avebury Dairy and bubbling hot tubs in secluded spots outside. Interiors are elegant and earthy, with layered textures, vast walk-in showers and high-end finishes.

Pooch coming too? No problem. Longstones is dog friendly, with miles of brilliant walking routes from your doorstep. There’s even a dedicated dog washing area to hose down your mucky hound, with warm water on tap. Once your own legs have had enough, hotfoot it into nearby Marlborough, for a mooch around its impressive clutch of independent shops.
