Another summer, another clutch of amazing local businesses to celebrate! Last week saw our Muddy Awards Winners’ Drinks 2023 close this year’s regional awards officially, and it was awesome to meet so many inspirational Wiltshire businesses, and hopefully help then on their way to even bigger things.

This year we held the Muddy Awards at the beautifully rustic Vine View Barn at Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm in Cholderton just outside Salisbury, with sunny views out across the vineyards and pygmy goats out to greet guests!

Speaking of the vineyards, Jack from Bluestone Vineyards was on hand to pour out fizz for our winners – you can’t get much more local a drop than from grapes you can see growing! – and delicious canapés were served courtesy of the venue’s head chef James.

Winners were able to pick up their Muddy goodie bags, which included lush-smelling products from Bramley and Warminster-based True Grace, before having their official photos taken by the ever-talented Elizabeth Donovan of Brand Photography by Elizabeth. Definitely a good name to know if you’re ever in need of excellent branding!

Olivia and the Wilts team feel so blessed to be able to serve such a lot of vibrant, innovative and above all supportive businesses in Wiltshire who really do have each others’ backs and we want to thank them all for turning up and thank all businesses who took part. But most of all we want to thank you, the readers, for sharing our recommendations with us. This year there were around 800,000 votes cast nationally, each one for a little local business who all did a little happy dance! YOU did that.
