He’s famous for directing Sherlock Holmes, Snatch and The Gentleman, but did you know Guy Ritchie has called Wiltshire home for over two decades? He shares <a href="https://gemmabellandcompany-dot-yamm-track.appspot.com/2TpYaklkZMT5if0bWsZQ1wJjDwaUQ7ToYWEssaJYgWuF359QynAFgQDK71lpxNlyuvHfCjWrVRPAUZeSi6yukw5VZFoYENaNk38YzWR2yqOclUVtJtyKsuR1Q4j_wxuiF-3mYU6VozBJJSqvVcB4pBfuPjXUyHO3f_eeJYUFIcgv24htThh3mfrU6Ptk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ashcombe Estate</a>, near Tollard Royal, with wife Jacqui and their three children, and also owns nearby Compton Abbas Airfield. Ritchie bought Ashcombe with former wife Madonna back in 2001, and he’s not the only famous resident – iconic photographer Cecil Beaton lived here back in the 1930s.

When he’s not directing crime capers, Ritchie has quietly been doing something rather brilliant with his Wiltshire pad. The gates to Ashcombe Estate have been thrown open for a seriously luxe foodie experience, and the 2026 series kicks off in May. As culinary experiences go, this one’s firmly in bucket-list territory. Think one-off tasting menus cooked over fire as the sun dips behind the Wiltshire hills, with a seriously strong line-up of guest chefs. Expect beamed ceilings, roaring fires and antique rugs layered underfoot, plus a rich mix of textures – linen, leather, herringbone – and handpicked art and furniture from Ritchie’s own collection.

Bedrooms are bold (think statement wallpaper and painted 19th-century pieces), while the two new penthouse suites are set to turn things up a notch, with sweeping views across the Cranborne Chase.

If you can tear yourself away from the table, there’s plenty to keep you busy. Think long, lazy walks through chalk grasslands and ancient woodland, wild swims and a proper reset at the new lakeside spa, designed by Ritchie himself.
