<p>Dress them up in dungarees and drive them down to Roves Farm, where they can enter the fancy dress competition, learn to sow seeds, meet the new piglets in the animal barn and the goat kids in Pets Corner, clean and ride a tractor and generally play farms IRL for a day. There&#8217;s a cafe for you (phew).</p>

<p>Kids&#8217; outdoor adventures company Mud and Guts are hosting a special morning of fresh air fun at this <a href="https://wilts.muddystilettos.co.uk/little-black-book/directory/the-farm-at-avebury/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">working farm just outside of Marlborough</a>. </p>

<p>The Hope Nature Centre has had a facelift and changed its name, but is still providing animal fun at their petting zoo plus small adventure playground near Trowbridge. Open 7 days a week, see their website for tickets.</p>

<p>Wiltshire&#8217;s most gorgeous garden has created a family-friendly map with 16 different activities on it with ideas about how to get closer to nature while you&#8217;re visiting. It&#8217;s only 50p from reception although you do need to pay the National Trust entry fee on top.</p>

<p>There are two sessions for this free craft event &#8211; an early, pre-booked &#8216;quiet&#8217; slot for children who would feel agitated by a spontaneous session and a later drop-in session. Inspired by the museum&#8217;s current exhibition, <em>Contemporary Print &amp; Ink on the Paper Press</em>, you&#8217;ll be able to stamp and create a unique printed picture using materials provided.</p>

<p>Ever wondered about the connection between Stonehenge and prehistoric Japan? Me neither, but there is one and you can find out all about it on a family trail at the ancient stones this half term. A historical pottery expert will also teach you how &#8216;flame pots&#8217; were made and there&#8217;s a chance to make your own &#8216;Dogu&#8217; (mini figurine) too.</p>
