New for this year, there&#8217;s also a spooky Halloween Trail over half term (£4). </p>

<p>This popular pumpkin patch is open every weekend until Halloween, and also on Tues 28th and Weds 29th for any last-minute pickers. You’ll need to book online via their <a href="https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/parsons-pumpkin-picking-patch-2025-tickets-1667388165889" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Eventbrite</a>, and tickets are £7.50 per car (with entry for all passengers included). Bargain! There&#8217;s also a coffee onsite, courtesy of Rozzie Coffee, plus cakes if you&#8217;re feeling peckish. </p>

<p>Following a stellar few years, Tan Hill Farm is back with its brilliant PYO pumpkins (open Oct weekends, plus 23rd-31st Oct). As well as 30 different types of pumpkins, you’ll get to enjoy trailer rides, a spooky bale maze, photo booth and arts and crafts. Phew! Entry is free, as is parking, you just pay for your haul. There&#8217;s also no need to book. </p>

<p>For an autumnal family fiesta, pop to Hartley Farm on 25th Oct. You&#8217;ll find pumpkin picking, apple pressing and marshmallow toasting, plus a bouncy castle, pumpkin carving <em>and</em> face painting. Phew. Child <a href="https://www.hartley-farm.co.uk/event/harvest-on-the-farm-2/#tribe-tickets" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">tickets</a> £12.50, there&#8217;s just a small extra charge for your pumpkin.</p>

<p>Roves Farm is certainly getting into the spooky swing of things over half term (23-31st Oct). Budding witches and wizards can pick a pumpkin from the stash in the barn, then get carving (we hear your sigh of relief that you can avoid the mess at home). Afterwards, hone your magic skills with potion and wand making lessons, or brave the new Halloween maze. There&#8217;s also a monsters ball mini disco every afternoon, ghoulish fancy dress positively encouraged! Older kids in tow? Head over for a Friday Fright Night instead. They&#8217;ll aboard the tractor trailer for a spooky journey around the farm, watching out for zombies and creepy characters in the shadows. This is very much a PG event, not for anyone scared of the dark! Day entry from £7.50.</p>

<p>This PYO and Farm Shop is known for their fun pumpkin games, as well as their well-stocked patch. You&#8217;ll also find a fab tearoom, brimming with cakes (all made on site), plus all manner of deliciousness in the farm shop. Think freshly baked bread, desserts, fruit and veg. <p>Lara and the crew opened <a href="https://www.facebook.com/p/Pomeroy-Pumpkin-Patch-61558879298873/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pomeroy Farm&#8217;s</a> pumpkin field for the first time last year, and it&#8217;s been a great success. This year the patch has doubled in size, plus there&#8217;s a scavenger hunt to add to the fun. You&#8217;ll find picking on the last three weekends in October, plus a few homemade treats on the side. </p>

<p>Whitehall loves a seasonal spectacular and you&#8217;ll find pumpkin carving at Lacock from 23rd-31st Oct. It does get busy, so make sure you snap up your spot in advance &#8211; it&#8217;s £4.99 per pumpkin, but they&#8217;ll provide the tools and tea light (and you won&#8217;t have to deal with the pumpkin guts at home!). </p>

<p>How about pumpkin picking, with a side of ice cream? Over at The Rowdey Cow, kids can choose a pumpkin from the patch, then carve their own spooky artwork. Of course, their epic ice creams will be on sale too, plus a few seasonal ghoulish flavours. It&#8217;s a fiver per pumpkin, and sessions run 9.30am &#8211; 11am, 27th &#8211; 31st Oct. </p>

There&#8217;s no need to book, just turn up and grab a wheelbarrow &#8211; wellies highly recommended. Pay for what you pick, then muster up the courage to enter the Halloween Mystery Maze, get stuck into some themed arts and crafts, or try your hand at Halloween t-shirt grafitti. Feeling brave? On 11th, 18th and 25th Oct, there&#8217;s a twilight murder mystery maze.</p>
