Good news for Classic Ibiza fans – the Bowood based dance extravaganza is even longer this year, with a new live chill-out set by Urban Soul Orchestra. This is a chance to hear over 40 dance anthems performed by the 32-piece orchestra, plus live vocalists and headline DJs. Bring a picnic, a bottle of fizz and wear your dancing shoes. It always sells out, so if you haven’t bagged your tickets, we’d suggest <a href="https://www.classicibiza.co.uk/bowood" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">booking pronto</a>. 



Just over the border, Bath’s iconic Roman Baths turn into a bit of a party place after hours this summer, with <a href="https://www.romanbaths.co.uk/summer-lates-2025" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Summer Late</a><a href="https://www.romanbaths.co.uk/events-0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">s</a>. Featuring DJs. live acoustic sets, and a bar by the torchlit Great Bath, plus the chance to explore the site by night.The Baths are open until 8 pm from Mon to Thurs and until 10 pm Fri to Sun. Music is from 5.30 pm -9 pm, Fri to Sun, and August Bank Holiday Monday, and included with the Roman Baths admission ticket.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-festivals">FESTIVALS</h2>

After a brief hiatus, WOMAD is back, and we couldn&#8217;t be more chuffed. The festival has now moved to Neston Park near Corsham &#8211; expect a brilliant blend of world music, wellness and a TON of family fun. 



The fabulous <a href="https://www.ticketsource.com/fulltone/the-fulltone-music-festival-fulltone-26/e-qmkvdx" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Fulltone Festival</a> returns to Devizes 11th and 12th July, and it&#8217;s a hot ticket. Expect a vast, 50-strong orchestra, live bands, iconic 80s numbers and superb guest stars, including (drumroll please) Jason Donovan. There’s food and drink too, or you can pack a picnic. Weekend tickets £88, and one child goes free for every paying adult. 



If you fancy a musical extravaganza, head to <a href="https://www.trowbridgefestival.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Trowbridge Festival </a>(July 24-26th). There’s a fab line–up, including 3 Daft Monkeys and Squeeze co-founder Chris Difford. It&#8217;s also relatively light on the wallet, with tickets from £120 including camping, and under 18’s free with a paying adult.

The summer exhibition at <a href="https://www.talosartgallery.co.uk/plan-your-visit" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Talos</a> sculpture garden near Calne is in full swing until 5th July, and it’s well worth a visit. This year’s list of exhibitors is impressive to say the least, with the likes of Patricia Volk, Anya Beaumont, Sandra Camargo and Philip Booth. Tickets £8.50, plus there’s a café this year too.



We’re excited to see <a href="https://www.marlboroughopenstudios.co.uk/?view=article&amp;id=155:exhibiors-by-date&amp;catid=9" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Marlborough Open Studios</a> return for 2026. Artists and exhibitors will be throwing open their doors across North Wilts, and entry is free. You’ll find everything from prints to sculpture, jewellery, ceramics and painting. On selected dates, 4th-26th July.



Muddy Award winning gallery<a href="https://www.madeinthepewseyvale.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> MADE In The Pewsey Vale</a> holds some great exhibitions, and this month is no exception. Head there 26th July &#8211; 1st August to see work by talented landscape artist Sam Travers. 



Step into <a href="https://www.messums.org/exhibitions/installation-forest-cathedral/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Forest Cathedral</a> at Messums West, where artist Andrew Amondson transforms the spectacular 13th-century tithe barn into an immersive world of light, sound and moving sculpture. Expect shimmering mirrored leaves, birdsong and dappled light beneath the ancient beams. Better still, it&#8217;s completely free and on until 25th July.

Great news, <a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/wiltshire/stourhead" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Stourhead</a> is once again getting in on the alfresco movie act from 3rd-5th July. Tickets are already running low for Pride and Prejudice, so if you’re keen to watch Mr Darcy in action you’d better get in quick. Alternatively, there’s Dirty Dancing on 3rd July, or you can bring the King back to life on 4th July, watching Elvis in concert. Bring a picnic blanket and chairs, this is a lovely spot for a summer movie. On 31st July, step into the roaring 1920s at Arundells in Salisbury, when The Great Gatsby comes to town. We&#8217;re promised an electrifying al fresco adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, along with a healthy dose of opulence, obsession and heartache.<a href="https://arundells.org/events/the-great-gatsby/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Tickets </a>from £14. 



Over at Cleeve House, it&#8217;s all-out gang warfare in a modern interpretation of Hamlet (until 4th July). Come early and pack a picnic, so you have the chance to make the most of the gorgeous gardens before the performance, courtesy of Shakespeare Live. <a href="https://www.shakespearelive.com/copy-of-much-ado-2025" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tickets</a> from £15.

Ancient Greece has never been this daft. Expect gods, monsters, heroes and a very overworked Trojan Horse as comedy troupe Living Spit races through 20 Greek myths in one gloriously chaotic evening. Fast, funny and packed with terrible puns, this is mythology as you&#8217;ve definitely never seen it before.



From 25-26th July, the crème de la crème of the dance world descends on Hatch House, in a four-day ballet extravaganza. Expect a heady mix of classical, neo-classical and contemporary styles, all in the 17th Century walled garden. The spectacle – organised by Matt Brady, director of the Covent Garden Dance Company – includes a three-course gourmet meal (<a href="https://www.coventgardendance.com/events/hatch-27-july" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">tickets </a>£185).



Alternatively, head to Arundells in Salisbury on 11th July, for an alfresco adventure down the rabbit hole. Swap Edington for South America at The Three Daggers&#8217; latest supper club, on 9th July. Expect fire-cooked picanha served with chimichurri and cassava chips, beef short rib croquettes with mango and pomegranate salsa, plus a passion fruit mousse to finish. Throw in a Caipirinha under canvas and you&#8217;ve got a pretty tempting Thursday night.



Fancy solving a murder over a hog roast? Head to Wilton Windmill on 11th July for an evening of medieval mischief, where Smoke &amp; Mirrors will bring this year&#8217;s whodunnit, A Knight to Remember, to life. Expect plenty of laughs, a hog roast (veggie option available), plus a cash bar. Better still, you&#8217;ll be helping to support one of Wiltshire&#8217;s best-loved landmarks.



With its stellar foodie reputation already well established, The Red Lion at East Chisenbury is dishing up a&nbsp;<a href="https://eastchisenbury.com/country-pub-restaurant/private-dining-red-lion-supper-club/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">monthly supper club&nbsp;</a>worth travelling for. Expect inventive three-course menus, hyper-seasonal ingredients like asparagus and game, all for £55pp (plus optional cheese course). Supper clubs held on the last Thursday of the month.



Fancy yourself a bit of a Bear Grylls? Or just like the idea of knowing your cow parsley from your hemlock? <a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/wiltshire/stourhead/events/52932861-ac7e-4da3-a313-6f7d1281fb59" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">This </a>hands-on foraging crash course, set in the breathtaking Stourhead estate, is the perfect intro to wild food. Led by the pros at Totally Wild UK, you&#8217;ll learn to ID, harvest and prep edible plants (without poisoning yourself in the process), with plenty of tasty tasters to try along the way. £70, the next dates are 4th and 5th July.

Look up! <a href="https://www.lydiardpark.org.uk/event/swindon-balloon-festival/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Swindon Balloon Festival</a> is at Lydiard Park on 3rd and 4th July with a sky full of colourful hot air balloons, plus plenty to keep everyone entertained back on the ground. Expect arena displays, a giant foam party, circus workshops, a funfair, parachute displays and a spectacular fireworks finale on Saturday night. Tickets from £5.



Move over Chelsea – there’s a glamorous new bloom-fest in town. This year the RHS launches <a href="https://www.rhs.org.uk/shows-events/rhs-badminton-flower-show?gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=23147586142&amp;gbraid=0AAAAA-VcS5MmtrIRnL7n21YNivFulwwSZ&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjw3ejRBhAdEiwADkqPn40cVxBih3PKcBWN_S0ZnSz23LVdRtcOSehibnmsfiTTyebpy1xn_hoCo0gQAvD_BwE" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">RHS Badminton Flower Show</a> at Badminton Estate from 8th – 12th July. Expect jaw-dropping Show Gardens, beautiful floral displays, artisan gardens, expert talks, celeb drop ins and live music.



If you&#8217;ve been longing for a peek inside the spectacular grounds of Fonthill House, mark 4th July in your diary for the Rare Plant Fair. Rarely open to the public, the estate boasts sweeping parkland, formal gardens and glorious woodland walks bursting with magnolias, rhododendrons and azaleas, plus sculptures dotted throughout the landscape. Entry £10, under-16s free.



One for a lazy summer afternoon. Pack a picnic and head to <a href="https://www.croftonbeamengines.org/events/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Crofton Beam Engines</a> on 12th July, where live folk and acoustic music provides the soundtrack to one of Wiltshire&#8217;s prettiest spots beside Wilton Water. 



It&#8217;s all go at <a href="https://www.salisburyracecourse.co.uk/2026-fixtures/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Salisbury Racecourse</a> this month. Top billing has to go to evening meets on 11th, 21st and 25th July. 11th is Ladies&#8217; Night, complete with ABBA tribute, while 25th showcases Marcel Somerville with his Naughty Noughties DJ set.
