<p>If you&#8217;ve ever watched a meerkat standing sentry and wondered what all the fuss is about, this is your chance to get properly acquainted. Studley Grange&#8217;s Meerkat Experience (£30, age 8+) puts you right in the middle of the mob. You&#8217;ll help feed them, and they&#8217;ll even climb all over you. Prefer your critters more on the scaly side? Studley Grange, near Swindon, also offers a Reptile Experience (£60pp, age 8+), where you&#8217;ll get to handle snakes and lizards. </p>

<p>Fancy getting up close and personal with a tiger? Longleat&#8217;s Tiger Feeding VIP Experience (£175) gives you a front-row seat to breakfast with their formidable big cats. Before the park opens, you&#8217;ll head behind the scenes with one of Longleat&#8217;s expert keepers to learn all about the resident Amur tigers, before feeding them their breakfast from just inches away. Your ticket includes full access to the park for the rest of the day. Suitable for 8+. </p>

Instead, visitors can book experiences, with the proceeds supporting the centre. The headline act? A chance to come face-to-face with Star, a hand-reared European wolf (£195). Expect fascinating wolf facts, the chance to meet her inside her enclosure and some fab photos to show off later (this one&#8217;s for those aged 16+). Feeling flush? Take things up a notch with an overnight stay, in a private wolf hut beside their enclosure (from £670). Imagine listening to their spine-tingling howls as you nod off&#8230; </p>

Set in 100 acres of glorious Wiltshire countryside near Devizes, Wiltshire Alpacas offers private walking experiences with some very fluffy companions, incuding Boris, Arnold and Winston. Over the course of an hour (£50), you&#8217;ll stroll through the countryside with your alpacas, hand-feed them and learn all about them. It&#8217;s hard to think of a better way to spend an hour in the Wiltshire countryside.</p>

<p>If your idea of heaven involves donkeys, Fur &amp; Fields Farm has you covered. Set beneath the watchful gaze of Westbury&#8217;s famous White Horse, this family-run farm gives visitors the chance to meet resident donkeys Pru, Ziggy, Teddy, Dotty and Dolly. Over the course of an hour (£15), you&#8217;ll groom, feed and walk alongside the donkeys gentle characters, while learning all about them. And it doesn&#8217;t stop there &#8211; you&#8217;ll also meet the rest of the Fur &amp; Fields gang, including alpacas, sheep, goats, ducks, chickens, turkeys and rabbits. </p>
