Let’s kick things off with a killer night out. Rock and Roll Man is one of the best productions we&#8217;ve seen at Salisbury Playhouse, and there are a handful of seats left before the run finishes on 7th March. Missed it? Don&#8217;t panic. You’ll find seven suspects, a stash of deadly weapons and a superb script, at Salisbury Playhouse from 9th to 14th March. You’ll know Huey Morgan as the frontman of Fun Lovin’ Criminals, the band behind&nbsp;Scooby Snacks, and as the long-standing host of The Huey Show on BBC Radio 6 Music. Now he’s heading out solo, to Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre on 5th March. Peppa Pig fans, it’s time to get organised! <a href="https://www.mayflower.org.uk/whats-on/peppa-pigs-big-family-show-2025/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Peppa Pig’s Big Family Show</a>&nbsp;trots over to Swindon’s&nbsp;<a href="https://trafalgartickets.com/wyvern-theatre-swindon/en-GB/event/family/peppa-pigs-big-family-show-tickets" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wyvern Theatre</a>, from&nbsp;18–19th April 2026. Expect several standout musical gigs at Bradford on Avon Music Centre this March. Jazz fiends will love IG4 on 7th March, when vocalist Claire Martin OBE and celebrated composer Nikki Iles lead a quartet of top jazz musicians. This one’s a hot ticket&#8230; Based on Christy Lefteri’s multi-award-winning, bestselling novel,&nbsp;The Beekeeper of Aleppo&nbsp;comes to Salisbury Playhouse 24&nbsp;– 28 March after a hugely successful UK tour and a trail of rave reviews. Tickets from £19.



Opera more your bag? On 20th March, Sir Willard White makes his WMC debut, when he joins forces with the celebrated Brodsky Quartet in a concert that pays homage to Gershwin, Britten, Ravel and Massenet. Tickets from £20.50.

The razor-sharp comedian&nbsp;<a href="https://www.mayflower.org.uk/whats-on/michelle-de-swarte-2026/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Michelle de Swarte</a>&nbsp;returns with her brand-new show&nbsp;The Afters, coming to The Wyvern Theatre on 19th March. She’ll be sharing brutally honest and hilarious tales of pre-social media youth, perimenopause prep, party powder versus powdered greens and all the mess-ups you didn’t want to make yourself.<a href="https://trafalgartickets.com/wyvern-theatre-swindon/en-GB/event/comedy/michelle-de-swarte-the-afters-tickets" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Tickets</a> from £26. 



How about a comedy-magic hybrid? Hudson &amp; Hudson are a real-life couple, who also happen to be top magicians. Expect a mix of magic, marriage and mind-reading, plus a lots of laughs along the way. He’s the Wizard of Waffle, and Ross Noble is back live on stage. Prefer a bit of improv? For a night of proper belly laughs head to Devizes Corn Exchange on 20th March. Over at Glove Factory Studios, the fabulous Wild Herb at the Field Kitchen kicks off its new <a href="https://www.glovefactorystudios.com/spring-fire-feast-with-wild-herb-at-the-field-kitchen-3/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Fire &amp; Feast</a> series on Friday 13th March. Expect welcome drinks around the fire pit, followed by exquisite sharing platters served under a heated canopy, overlooking lakes and fields. Tickets £60, but get booking because they&#8217;ll be snapped up soon. 



The Bath Half might be long sold out, but if you fancy a leg-stretcher there are still tickets left for the Ramsbury half marathon and 10K on 15th March. The race kicks off by the tap room at Ramsbury Distillery, before winding through local trails, woodlands, and footpaths. Cross the finish line back at the brewery, and you even get a beer in your entry fee, which sounds like a great way to celebrate. <a href="https://findarace.com/events/ramsbury-half-marathon-10km" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Entry</a>&nbsp;from £32.



Fancy a little stargazing with a side of storytelling? Head to Messums West on Thursday 19th March for Starfest Nightwalk &#8211; a guided two-hour circular wander. Setting off and returning to the gallery, the walk pauses for tales of night-sky myths and legends along the way, from storyteller Lizzie Bryant.. This one’s a freebie and only for ages 14+, but you’ll need to<a href="https://www.tickettailor.com/events/tisburyparishcouncil/2064746" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> book</a> your place. 



Wave goodbye to snowdrops and say a big hello to daffodils, which will be springing up throughout Wiltshire in March. Stourhead, Lacock Abbey and The Courts Gardens are already brimming with the yellow bloomers, along with a few other spring stunners.



Whisper it, but Easter is just around the corner. Avebury Manor gardens kicks things off with an <a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/wiltshire/avebury/events/c027466e-bf2f-4e1a-84b5-58738fb63649?utm_source=chatgpt.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Easter trail</a>, starting on 27th March. Expect 10 activities, a trail sheet, bunny ears and the all-important choccy prize.



How about the <a href="https://www.devizeshalfmarathon.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Devizes half marathon</a>, on 22nd March? It starts next to The Green, before looping through scenic surrounding villages, including All Cannings and Etchilhampton. It’s an undulating course but don’t be put off, many runners gain their PB here.



Need a crowd-pleasing day out? Head to <a href="https://castlecombecircuit.co.uk/spring-action-day-2026/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Castle Combe Circuit</a> on 28th March for the start of the show season. Think drifting showcases, shiny display cars and <a href="https://castlecombecircuit.co.uk/shop/spring-action-day-2026-karting/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">karting</a> sessions for both big and little kids — with plenty of screeching tyres thrown in for good measure. Tickets from £20, with free entry for under-16s accompanied by an adult.

We love Exhibition on Screen, and this month it’s time for Turner and Constable to take to the spotlight. Two of Britain’s greatest landscape painters, they were also the greatest of rivals. Expect exclusive access to their art and remarkable stories from this documentary, with insights from leading experts. If bees are your thing (or you’d quite like them to be), buzz over to Hartley Farm on 17th March for a talk by Richard Rickitt, heavyweight of the UK beekeeping world. Expect fascinating hive tales, expert advice and clever ways to transform your patch into a full-blown pollinator hotspot. <h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-shopping-amp-masterclasses">SHOPPING &amp; MASTERCLASSES</h2>



There are some fabulous opportunities to get creative with flowers this month. Head to <a href="https://www.podandpip.co.uk/collections/spring-workshops" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pop &amp; Pip</a> near Salisbury, for an Easter wreath workshop on 28th March (£65). You’ll create a gorgeous, wreath, bursting with lush foliage and spring flowers. Oh, and your front door will be Insta-worthy of course.

You’ll leave with a show-stopping design ready for the door (or table), plus plenty of insider tips and tricks from the floral trade.



Fancy a wardrobe refresh with a conscience? <a href="https://www.instagram.com/weareswapsociety/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Swap Society</a> is back at Doubles in Melksham on 29th March, for a session of circular fashion.
