Hotfoot it down to Sherston’s best cafe and cake shop for pancake day. They’ll be serving traditional and American style pancakes with toppings including lemon and sugar, nutella and banana, apple crumble and a variety of savoury offerings, if that’s more your thing.

Local artist and inventor Tom Lawton’s mesmerising moving bronze sculpture takes up residence in Avebury’s Great Barn for the month of March. The smooth, flowing lines reflect the eternal cycles of life, echoing Avebury’s stone circles and their story through time. It’s free to visit and booking isn’t necessary.

Using exclusively British flowers, you will be tutored in the professional techniques to confidently create a vibrant masterpiece. FILM: Sunday Cinema Club at Whatley Manor, 13 March

This spring Roves farm is expecting 444 lambs, including 48 sets of triplets and two sets of quads! We can’t think of anything cuter! Head over to the farm to see the ultra-cute wooly babies and maybe even spot a few being born!

No, not that kind of frog! This two-hour session will teach attendees how to use flower frogs for vase and flower arrangements as an eco-friendly alternative technique to using floral foam. You’ll go home with your own flower arrangement in a lovely bowl with the flower frog, so you can continue using it in the future. Coffee and cake included too as always!
